- Establishing and overseeing a nutrition center
- Creating a community garden with training to stimulate cultivation of amaranth and chaya, diversify crops,
and using food locally available to improve their diet.
- Providing nutritional education and hygiene with children’s vitamins and prenatals with the crucial folic acid for all.
Our 23 villages have reached our mutual goal of self-sustainability! We are very proud of their hard work and accomplishments. One indigenous woman, with a second grade education, exclaimed, “You are waking us up!”
As villages graduate, we continually welcome new ones into our program.
